FAQ
How do we choose a location for portrait sessions?
I have a list of great local spots around Johnstown and Licking County, ranging from natural parks to athletic facilities. Have a meaningful spot in your mind, like a family property or local field? We can absolutely work together there!
How far in advance should I book my session?
Because I personally cover every session myself, spots are limited each month. I recommend reaching out 3 to 4 weeks in advance, especially for busy spring and fall portrait seasons.
Seniors: I recommend booking at least 1 to 2 months in advance to secure your preferred date before your yearbook deadlines approach.
What should we wear for family or senior portraits?
Complementary colors and simple tones work best! I recommend coordinating colors across the group rather than matching completely. Try to avoid large logos, bright graphic tees, and busy patterns like tight stripes or loud plaid as they can draw attention away from faces in photos. Timeless solid colors or subtle textures let your family's natural smiles stay the focus!
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of my portrait session?
Ohio weather can be tricky! If we get rained out, or encounter extreme weather, don't worry - we'll simply reschedule your session for the next available date that works best for your schedule at no additional cost.
